First of all thanks to all my lovely blogger friends for their beautiful encouraging comments. You have encouraged me so much that I get much enthusiasm to post the next step of our landscaping journey.
After the heavy work on last weekend, we didn’t do much on the garden. Moreover, Mr. Man had his office. So, throughout the week I did little by little to give a little shape to the garden. First job was to remove the soil which was piled up all over the place in order to make the stoned path. Actually, it was the next big job. Mr. Man wanted to hire someone to remove the soil. I didn’t argue with him. However, I had a plan in my mind. I took the full opportunity of his absence during weekdays.
Through out the week I remove the dirt little by little. I was not possible task for me to remove dirt in one day. On the top of that California native soil is not at porous and light. Instead of that it is very heavy and tight. It is difficult to shovel the dirt. So I took almost entire week to do that. Then I planted some little pansies, and daisies around the stone path. Still the planting precess is going on.
On Friday Mr. Man and I planted few the shrubs we bought earlier. The positive side of the shrubs is they will last forever, but on the other side they may grow wild without continuous care. Still, we wanted to plant as many shrubs as we can. We want our front yard to be green through out the year. For that we can do extra work. We don’t want grass on our front yard. Although it is easier to maintain grass , but grass needs more water. After seven long years California is declared drought free. So, we thought that, it is better to preserve water. As we all know grass needs lots of water.
Here are few of the pictures of our progress. It’ll take time, but we are very hopeful for the beautiful outcome.

Has hecho un gran trabajo. Besitos.
Lovely post dear! Have a great day! xx
That is such hard work you are both doing your selves. It will take a while but I am sure it will look beautiful when it is all finished. Good luck.
Dear Krishna!
Sending you peace, love and Easter Blessing.
Wishing you a beautiful Easter.

It sounds as though your soil is a lot like mine. We have a lot of clay in the soil. It's very hard to dig into when it is dry and very heavy when it is wet -- there's not a lot of in-between. So good you don't do it all at once or your back might be very sore indeed! But it will be lovely when done!

Krishna, your garden is going to look beautiful. I agree about the lawn using too much water and they are in the process of raising our water rates again and they are sky high already. We have been talking about taking most, if not all of our lawn out for a couple of years now, so hope we will come up with a plan and do it this summer. Thanks for your nice visit and have a Happy Easter..Judy

I am sure free all of your hard work, your garden will look fabulous. I hope your Easter was lovely.
You are smart to plan for a low-water yard. Then you don’t have to worry about losing plants in a drought, or paying for expensive water. It’s going to be beautiful and you will appreciate it even more having done the hard work yourselves.
I like gardening so much. It will look nice, when you are finished.
Alot of hard work, but very rewarding! Big Hugs!
