I was just seeing the old photograph, and trying to sort out which pictures actually I already published. I saw crafts I made , but never shared the pictures with you. Here I'm sharing few of the boxes I made in past. Hope you'll enjoy those.

Hi My friends, Sometimes I love paining. No, no I'm not an artist. I try to paint. Actually, I cannot paint just by myself. I always need some painting tutorials to do. But it is very much therapeutic to me. I love to do, that's why I do. Those , who are following me instagram, already had seen them. Here I'm sharing few of them for my bloggers. One more thing, all of them are copied, none is original. *smile*

My Smash journal

I always love to keep memories. My son also has gotten that from me. Every time when we visit somewhere, he asks me what I'm taking from there as a keepsake. Though, I always buy a fridge magnet, but something I always want to keep only for me, just to go through them in my spare time,not to share, just for me. That's why I always keep the tickets, maps,boarding pass.Since childhood I'm keeping this hobby. First I've just kept them in a box, then I decided to glue them in a handmade journal.

Sometimes I cut from magazine and make collages, that is very therapeutic to me.

 

Christmas mini album for sister

For a long time I desperately wanted to sure the mini album I created for my sister. However, I didn't do, because I didn't want to spoil her surprise. Now she has already received the album, so, now I can share with you. I created this album amid chaos in my home. The day I started creating the album the painting guy had been spraying prima. It became so difficult to stay at home, my son and I went to library. n the top of that my son was not feeling well today. Anyway, I managed to finish that, and sent it to my sister. Here are the snick picks of the album.

Bags from old jeans

One day I was just viewing the pictures in Pinterests. I won't tell lie, I'm really addicted to Pinterests. While I was going through some handmade bag pictures I saw a picture of a bag made from old jeans  pant. That very idea struck in my mind. I desperately wanted to sew a bag from old jeans. However, I didn't have old jeans in my closet. For few days I really felt restless, as I couldn't sew a bag. Anyway, days passed I also forgot about that.

Hello My lovely blogging friends,

Valentine's day is very near. Even we don't have one month in our hand. I thought of making some cards for this occasion. I also have some things to make,but I don't know whether I'll be able to make the other things. On the top of that I also have a very big list of crafts for my home. All the cards are handmade from scratch. I did everything with just a pair of scissors, and glue. Just take look. Christmas crafts

I think I'm not managing my time properly. I won't tell that, I'm not getting enough time . I've enough time, but I'm not utilizing in smart way. I thought of uploading a new post on Friday, but till Sunday evening I'm unable to do that. Anyway, the weekend is going pretty busy. Friday I had a small lunch party with at my home with few of my close friend. We had a nice time , tough we spent only one hour together, but everyone enjoyed my cooking. On Saturday we visited one museum, that was very interesting. Hopefully I'll write about that on Monday. In the mean time I did some little crafts, some just for myself, some with my kid, some for my kid, and some for my husband. Here I'm giving the picture all those pictures.

The Advent Calendar at last

At last I made my Advent Calendar. I made it very fast. My target was to hang the calendar on 1st December before my son came back from school. I started it on November 30th. I decided to make some white pockets. Suddenly in remembered some blank invitation cards I bought from OfficeMax in heavy discounted price. I bought them mainly for those envelops came in the packets, which I needed at that time. Those cards were not attractive , at least to me. So, I cut the border out. The size of the white parts came out was perfect for the pockets.

Repurposing rice bags

I kept some of the rice bags without thinking anything. Just I thought that, I could up cycle in the future. One day, while cleaning my garage, I just about to throw them in the trash. Suddenly, it came in my mind whether I could make cross stitch on them. Actually, just before I went to craft store to buy some fabric for cross stitch. However, the price of the fabric pulled me back. I desperately wanted to do some cross stitches. I took one bag, and very meticulously I ripped the seam , and make long fabric. When I tried to stitch on it with the yarns from my stock, to my utter disappointment, I found that it was impossible to stitch. I put away everything in box, and didn't open for a long time. One day, while cleaning my craft supplies, I took out the bag again, and tried to stitch with different tread, and I found out it could be possible to stitch on the bags. I almost jumped in joy. Then I up cycle all the four bags which I kept in my garage. Now all of them are added to my home decor. Here are all of them. I'm also showing how I cut the seam and changed them in totally different thing. No one could recognize what material I used to make the wall hanging, the table runners until I told. :)

DIY bangle box

Some of my friends asked how I made my bangle box. When I was making the bangle, at that time only I thought of posting the tutorial of the same. However, it had been several months, probably almost a year, I yet to post the tutorial. I cannot understand why I didn't do it. May be my friends are thinking that I don't want to share. Before they prove themselves right I should put the tutorial now.

Gingerbread house from box

As the Christmas is coming around I am making decorations for Christmas. Every year I decided I will start making decorations one month before, but i always end up starting after the first week of December. My problem is that I don’t get my inner inspirations to start Christmas crafts. As soon as December starts, so many ideas start to come in my mind. Anyway, last year my son begged for a gingerbread house. Lastly, I told him  that, I could make house which looks like gingerbread house out of box. First he was not ready to agree with me, but lastly he accepted.

Is crocheting my new obsession?

Suddenly one day my son requested me to make a hat for him out of yarn. I causally told him that I would do that. I fought that he would forget about my promise, and I would skip that. However, my little one usually doesn’t forget anything. After some days he again reminded me about my promise. Again I casually promised him, hoping that he would forget. But, nothing such had happened. Few days later again he remind me. Then I understood, he is not the person who would just let it go. I reluctantly looking for a suitable yarn to make a hat in my yarn box.  I asked him whether he would like blue. Anyway, I started crocheting the hat, he told me the hat would be too small for his head. So, I made the hat bigger, but the hat became so big, that he best fitted on his dad’s head. I asked him to give the hat to dad, and I would make another one for him. He happily agreed with that. Actually, at that I was already got addicted to crocheting. After making my son’s hat, I wanted to crochet more. I showed those hats to one of my friends. She desperate wanted a hat made by me. After making her hat I just couldn’t stop me. I started making things one after another. Here is the result of my new addiction in past fifteen days.

Halloween 2012

Since last September  my son was extremely excited about Halloween, and so was  I. Everyday day he used to ask me about  Halloween . It was  difficult  for him to wait for one long month. Till last to last year he couldn’t understand what exactly is it? So, we also didn’t take any interest to celebrate Halloween. However, this time he was extremely enthusiastic . Actually this time he came to know about all the fun of Halloween from his teacher. I understood that, we were going to have a fun filled day. We bought him a Spiderman costume. Actually, he wanted to buy a fireman dress, but unfortunately we didn’t find his size. Anyway, he chose the Spiderman costume instead.

That very day, my sonny got up early in the morning out of excitement with a happy face ,unlike his everyday grumpy face . I didn’t have to  wake him up. He had his breakfast without any tantrum, and decked up for the Halloween celebration in school. In the morning we all three went to watch the Halloween parade at the school.  Generally his father goes to school, to drop him.  All the students made a big circle in the ground , class wise. We, parents stood at the back with camera ready in our hand. Every class took a round with their teacher around the ground. Ever student came into their best costumes.  My son led the parade holding his teacher’s hand of pre-K. That spectacular colorful parade was so much fun that that one hour passed by, and we didn’t realize.

Shopping in Michaels'

I was in a hurry in the morning. By any means I had to reach the physiotherapy center. Before leaving home I just checked the schedule, and I found that I had to reach within 10:20 instead of 10:30. I literally ran to the bus stop. Today I was lucky. As soon as I reached the stop I got the bus. After getting down from the bus I rushed to the center. To my utter disappointment I found that I didn’t have any schedule today. But I had an appointment today according to the schedule I was given. I felt like shouting out of anger.  They didn’t properly change in their system, and they gave me a wrong print of the schedule. Anyway, nothing could be done, because the concerned physiotherapist was absent. Anyway, I decided to go Michaels’ from there, my favorite shop.  Actually this year, I decided to do little fall decoration in my home. Anyway, I had ample of time in my hand. Mr. S was going to come to pick me up at 12:30. I decided to stroll aisle by aisle in the store. First I fished out some things, which were kept outside of the shop. The trays outside of the shop always attract me, because of their throw-away price. :) I always lose myself when I go inside Michaels’. Anyway, I had started picking up many things, from yarn to acrylic paint. Actually I wanted to buy some decorative punches, but I thought, it would be wise to buy at time of ‘Thanksgiving’ sale. Then probably I can get in much cheaper price. Fall wreathes were expensive, so I dropped the idea of buying one. Lastly I saw that, I’ve picked up many things except any decorating article for fall. Anyway, I picked a small pumpkin. When I went to pay, I found that I was going to cost a great amount. So, I kept some of the articles in store. I told Mr. S that I didn’t buy all the articles I liked. He told me that I could buy freely whatever I liked. So, Friday I’m going there again to buy the rest of the articles I liked. :)

Crochet bag

Few months back I created this one. I bought the crochet thread long back. However, I couldn't find anything to make. At last I decided to make bag. As the thread was too thin, it took long time to make. I couldn't keep my patience for a long. So, I made the bag small. :)

Upcycled table-mats

After coming back from India, I found that my four table-mats were missing. I couldn’t find them anywhere. Anyway, I had another four spare mats, and I had started using them. However, those mats, which were made of bamboo, didn’t last for long. I desperately needed another four. As a frugal person, I decided to make four mats out of old clothes. Here are the end products. Do you know what material I used here?

I used my son’s baby blanket, my hubby’s old torn t-shirt, and my old dresses.
